·       Support restaurants by arriving at least 2 hours early for large catering events to pre-load food and gather equipment.

·       Prepares and/or receives appropriate documentation for the catering delivery; arrives at restaurant before all scheduled delivery times and confirms order checklist before leaving restaurant.

·       Completes confirmation call to customer to confirm order details and verify special delivery instructions.

·       Ability to problem solve issues that may come up during delivery or the event.

·       Ensures delivery vehicle is fully fueled, clean, stocked, organized, and mechanically maintained.  Emergency Delivery Kit is fully stocked and in vehicle prior to all deliveries.

·       Maintains integrity with all company financials. (Credit Cards, Tips, Company Information)

This position reports to the Catering Event Manager and is part of the Off-Premises Dining Team, under the overall Marketing Department “Catering Event Coordinators must interact with all General Managers, Managers and Front-Line Staff.



Educational Level/Certifications

·       High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

·       Minimum 2 years delivery driver experience preferred.

·       Minimum 2 years Catering Experience

Work Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

·       Ability to comfortably speak, write, and comprehend English in a business setting, ensuring clear and effective verbal and written communication to complete all job functions.

·       Build Relationships with clients and restaurant operations to grow continued success for events.

·       Excellent customer service skills.

·       A valid driver’s license is issued from the state where you will drive and work.

·       Complies with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding operation of a motor vehicle, and/or a commercial vehicle.

·       Must pass a background check that includes a good MVR (motor vehicle record).

·       Must have MVR checked by Portillo’s on an annual basis.

·       Must be at least 21 years or older.

·       Drivers must carry a working up-to-date cell phone during all events/deliveries.

·       Excellent driving skills so you can arrive with our customers safely.

·       Experience in food delivery, a plus.

·       No smoking in vehicles when delivering Portillo’s Product.

·       Have a genuine love for Portillo’s!

·       Serve Safe License/ Liquor License Certificate, a plus

·       Experience with electrical equipment.


Travel Requirement

·       30% travel or as needed for Events throughout different states.

·       Must have a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and early mornings.
