The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of tasks and duties to support the Supply Chain team to ensure our procurement practices drive value and are aligned with company goals.  This role requires a critical thinker with strong problem solving and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong skillset in data analytics and project management with a background in Supply Chain.

  • Supply Chain Team Collaboration: Support Supply Chain Team members in various aspects of daily Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain activities to ensure business results are achieved.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, culinary, and finance to ensure alignment between sourcing strategies and organizational objectives.

  • Quality Tracking and Analysis: Key liaison between Restaurant Operators and Supplier Partners to receive and track product quality issues.  Develop QA reporting metrics and trendline summaries. 
  • RFP Analysis: Prepare baseline data and complete cost analysis for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotes (RFQs) for specific products or services.
  • Data Analytics: Using Data analytics tools to analyze spend patterns, supplier performance and other key metrics to inform decision making.
  • Cost Optimization: Analyzing market trends, pricing structures and current supplier prices to recommend cost-saving initiatives and strategies.  Responsible for overseeing cost savings tracking.

  • Evaluate Supplier Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier performance, such as on-time delivery, product quality and customer service and develop supplier scorecards utilizing the performance data.
  • Market Research & Industry Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, innovations and new suppliers to ensure the organization is aware of potential opportunities or risks in the marketplace.
  • Category Strategies: Provide analytical support to the Strategic Sourcing team in the development of category strategies including both short- and long-term objectives.

·       Long Term Strategic Planning: Analyze and evaluate Supplier & Distribution RFP proposals based on factors such as cost, quality and delivery timelines to support our National Growth plan.

·       New Menu Development: Work collaboratively with the Strategic Sourcing Team to provide volume forecast calculations to support new menu development and LTO offerings.

 

 

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports to the Director, Strategic Sourcing.  The Strategic Sourcing Analyst interacts with Supply Chain, Marketing, Culinary, and Finance.  Interacts externally with suppliers and distribution partners. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Level/Certifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

 

Work Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

·       1-3 years of experience in sourcing or procurement, preferably within the foodservice sector

  • Skills: Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong focus on Excel.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of sourcing strategies and RFP processes.   Familiarity with industry-specific requirements, food commodities and trends is an advantage.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to present findings to the larger supply chain team and finance.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Travel Requirement

  • Minimal travel may be required, less than 5%.

Hot Dog!  The pay range for this role is $65,000 – $85,000.  Your actual compensation will depend on experience, location, and/or additional skills you bring to the table.
