Job Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of our finance team, responsible for delivering insights and analysis to support decision-making processes across the organization. This individual will play a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis, as well as providing strategic recommendations that align with our growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, excellent analytical thinking, and a passion for working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepare and analyze financial statements, monthly performance reports, and ad-hoc analyses to support the business's financial goals.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, providing insights into trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
· Partner with senior leadership and department heads to evaluate operational performance and recommend corrective actions or enhancements.
· Lead components of the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to gather data and align financial goals.
· Develop and maintain financial forecasts to track performance against budgeted targets, adjusting as necessary based on changes in business conditions or operational needs.
· Analyze variances between actuals and plan to actionable insights for management.
· Build and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, such as new store openings, pricing strategies, and expansion opportunities.
· Provide financial analysis for decision-making related to capital expenditures, cost management, and pricing strategies.
· Participate in special projects requiring ad-hoc analysis and report creation.
· Lead initiatives within the department.
· Pulling data from several sources and developing analysis leading to a conclusion/hypothesis of root causes and trends.
· Creating PowerPoint presentations that are ultimately shared with upper management and the Board.
ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS
· You will serve as a partner to Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, IT and other departments to help develop budgets and provide insights.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Level/Certifications
· Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
· CPA or MBA preferred
· Oracle EPM experience a plus
Work Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis. Retail and/or hospitality preferred.
· Inquisitive nature that drives the person to identify issues and want to find the answer to business issues
· Budgeting and Forecasting experience required.
· Professionally skeptical with a constant focus in process improvement.
· Excellent Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, sumif, etc.).
· Ability to distill data into findings and clearly communicate them.
· Understanding financial accounting, generally accepted accounting principles, finance and how it applies to business processes.
· Demonstrate ability to research and analyze pertinent company, industry, and technical matters.
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at to ensure ultimate deliverable timeliness.
· Self-motivated and takes responsibility for personal growth and development.
· Ability to handle ambiguity, take on open ended tasks, ask appropriate questions to move forward.
Travel Requirement
- Minimal to no travel
- Hybrid working environment – Tuesday – Thursday at the company office.

Hot Dog! The pay range for this role is $85,000 – $105,000. Your actual compensation will depend on experience, location, and/or additional skills you bring to the table.
